MEET MADISON!!

Pete Uncategorized

Summer Missionlab is starting soon! In six weeks, we will begin welcoming over 2,000 students and youth leaders who are getting ready to serve with MissionLab here in New Orleans.

This week we are continuing to introduce you to our Summer Missionaries that will be serving with us.  These Summer Missionaries partner with MissionLab for 9 weeks of ministry. They are there to minister to the groups and help facilitate easy communication between the groups and the MissionLab staff.

Let’s welcome Madison!

How old are you?

22

Are you in school? If so, where, and what are you studying?

Yes, East Tennessee State University, graduating in May, majoring in Health Sciences and minoring in Anthropology

Have you been to New Orleans before?

Yes, I attended MissionLab in 2011 and 2013.

What made you want to work for MissionLab?

I gave my life to the Lord while attending MissionLab in 2011, so New Orleans has a special place in my heart.

What’s one thing you’re looking forward to this summer?

Meeting new people and seeing how God is going to work.

What’s your favorite genre of music?

Country

What’s your favorite movie?

You’ve Got Mail or anything with Meg Ryan

What’s your favorite food?

Peanut Butter

What’s the most embarrassing thing that’s happened to you?

When I was in high school it came a big snow, but classes weren’t cancelled. I was walking across the parking lot and slipped on ice and ripped my pants. I did not realize it at the time because I was wearing a really long coat, so I did not find out until I got to class and took my coat off.

Do you have any hidden talents?

I am an extreme morning person. I can be super productive at 4 AM.

Would you rather have the power to fly, or the power of invisibility, and why?

FLY! You could go anywhere in the world you want to go without having to pay for a plane ticket.

If you could use any quote to sum up your life, what would it be?

“I can’t go back to yesterday because I was a different person then.” Alice in Wonderland.

There you go, folks, you’ve just met the fourth of the eight SM’s who will be serving with us this summer. We look forward to introducing the others to you in the following weeks.

If you’re bringing a group to serve with us this summer, we can’t wait to have you here!
