MEET THOMAS!

Pete Uncategorized

Summer Missionlab is starting soon! In just over six weeks, we will begin welcoming over 2,000 students and youth leaders who are getting ready to serve with MissionLab here in New Orleans.

This week we are continuing to introduce you to our Summer Missionaries that will be serving with us.  These Summer Missionaries partner with MissionLab for 9 weeks of ministry. They are there to minister to the groups and help facilitate easy communication between the groups and the MissionLab staff.

Let’s welcome Thomas!

How old are you?

20

Are you in school? If so, where, and what are you studying?

Yes, I am a sophomore studying worship technologies at the University of Mobile.

Have you been to New Orleans before?

Yes

What made you want to work for MissionLab?

I want to work for Missionlab because of the impact that my SM’s had on my life, showing me an amazing example of what loving for Christ should look like!

What’s one thing you’re looking forward to this summer?

I’m looking forward to getting to worship with 100’s of different kids and being in the city that I love!

What’s your favorite genre of music?

I am a lover of all music, there is not a genre I won’t headbang to in the car!

What’s your favorite movie?

Probably Forrest Gump or the Longest Yard.

What’s your favorite food?

Coffee

What’s the most embarrassing thing that’s happened to you?

There was one weekend I was playing at this MASSIVE church and I was sitting on a pew watching sound check, and my phone starts to ring so I pick it up and answer it, but I don’t recognize the woman’s voice… probably because it wasn’t my phone… it was the production directors…needles to say he was not happy to have his phone answered by some random kid.

Do you have any hidden talents?

My hidden talent is my love for third wave (craft) coffee. I love any and all things coffee and am constantly experimenting and trying new brew methods.

Would you rather have the power to fly, or the power of invisibility, and why?

I would rather have the power of invisibility because I’m an introvert and being invisible would be very useful sometimes!

If you could use any quote to sum up your life, what would it be?

My life quote is from my dad, “if it’s worth doing, it’s worth doing right.”

There you go, folks, you’ve just met the third of the eight SM’s who will be serving with us this summer. We look forward to introducing the others to you in the following weeks.

If you’re bringing a group to serve with us this summer, we can’t wait to have you here!
