MEET ALYSSA!!

Pete Uncategorized

Summer Missionlab is starting in less than a month! We will begin welcoming over 2,000 students, youth leaders, and families who are getting ready to serve with MissionLab here in New Orleans.

In the coming weeks, we’ll be introducing, one by one, our Summer Missionaries that will be serving with us. These Summer Missionaries partner with MissionLab for 9 weeks of ministry. They are here to minister to the groups and help facilitate easy communication between the groups and the MissionLab staff.

Help us welcome Alyssa to the team!

How old are you?

19

Are you in school? If so, where, and what are you studying?

Yes, I am studying general studies.

Have you been to New Orleans before?

Yes

What made you want to work for MissionLab?

MissionLab was the first mission camp I had ever been to. MissionLab changed my life and my whole view of missions. I can’t wait to be apart of a camp that helped shape who I am today.

What’s one thing you’re looking forward to this summer?

Building lifelong friendships

What’s your favorite genre of music?

Christian

What’s your favorite movie?

I have a lot but The Parent Trap

What’s your favorite food?

Chicken Casserole

What’s the most embarrassing thing that’s happened to you?

When I was at Waterville in Gulf Shores, my sister and I were riding the water slides. When we got to the bottom of the slide that goes into the pool, I guess there was a lot of pressure, but I went airborne off the float into the pool.

Would you rather have the power to fly, or the power of invisibility, and why?

Invisibility because you can be anywhere and no one will see you also you can hear everyone’s conversations.

Now you’ve met four out of eight SM’s who will be serving with us this summer. We look forward to introducing the others to you in the following weeks.

If you’re bringing a group to serve with us this summer, we can’t wait to have you here!
